The Friends of Burgess Falls SNA are here to help the park protect and improve the trails. We help clear the trails of debris, build new trails and help improve any areas that could be hazardous while hiking. We also provide funding for equipment needed to keep our park safe.
The Friends help raise funds for important needs for the park. Fundraisers in the past have included a corn hole tournament and online fundraisers. We are looking forward to adding more fundraisers in the coming year! Fundraiser money goes towards many things including Junior Ranger Programs and equipment for the park.
Not only does the Friends group help with educational classes and provide educational material for park events but they also help further the education of our park rangers. When they want to improve their skills, we help them to cover the extra cost so they can be their very best for the park!
In tandem with the park rangers the Friends group volunteers hit the trails once a month to grab any trash that is left behind. They start in the morning and walk the trails until all of the trash is collected. It's just one way we help to keep our park clean so everyone can enjoy nature in all of her beauty!
No problem! You can still join the Friends of Burgess Falls SNA as a Member and Make an Annual Donation to help further our mission to protect and preserve our park.
